Within the first year of the course we learn about ‘theological houses’. They are models used which help us understand differing theological viewpoints. The resource for this is Dorothe Solle’s book Thinking About God. There are three positions looked at which are the houses known as the, ‘orthodox’, ‘liberal’, and ‘liberation’. Each house is explored in detail and contrasted with the others. It is a useful guide in understanding where we come from, and is a good insight into learning from other Christian traditions.
